A quick glance on Twitter showed several people I knew acting like breaking your Lent on Sundays was weak or somehow less than holy. If it's your preference to keep fasting on Sunday, then that is fine. But Mother Church does not prohibit this, and as such, people who are obeying church teaching shouldn't be considered less pious or devoted to their sacrifice.
Monday was rough. Around 5:30, 15 min before sunset, I didn't think I'd make it. Thought about taking an early lunch and devouring that banana in the fridge. Thankfully, common sense won out, and a quick prayer later, I had the strength to survive.
Of course, once the sun set, I was like a man possessed running back to the break room.
It should be an interesting rest of Lent!
