The great flood of Harrisburg (with video)

With flooding reaching historic purposes in Harrisburg, PA (I live in a suburb called Wormleysburg, right across the river from the Capital building), I thought it would have been downright irresponsible NOT to report on this. After all, I do have a journalism degree from that school in Arkansas that shall not be named.

Second video is a little dark, but the thrill of going outside at 5:30 a.m. to shoot Youtube video was too good to pass up. Plus, after hearing one of the CBS news anchors tweet me and say that I was a natural after seeing the first video (even if it was just a too kind compliment), I definitely felt inspired.

Basically, the river was supposed to crest to 29 feet and wreak havoc on our neighborhood. And while other parts of the city were hit hard by this flooding (six people died), we were blessed to not have any damage whatsoever as of 6:49 a.m. on Saturday.

Enjoy!
