Baby sonogram!

Today was the long-awaited day, when Allicia would visit the doctor for the first time and find out that there really was a child inside of her.

As you can see from the video above, we indeed are not crazy: there's actually a kid inside of my wife! At first, the baby wasn't moving, which was slightly alarming. But then after a few seconds of the sonogram wand moving around inside of her, it was like our child woke up and start dancing like a fool.

It's very inspiring to actually see the child for the first time. This whole time, we knew the child was there, but actually seeing the baby for the fist time was an unreal experience I don't think I'll ever forget. They gave us the due date of March 2, which still gives us a shot at having a leap-year day baby on Feb. 29.

As happy as I was to see this baby, I was a little disappointed: I wanted two! I knew this whole time we would have twins. I've wanted twins for so many years, and thought this was the right time! Perhaps we'll have twins down the road, but it seems like this year, with the exception of getting married, has been a year of God saying No to me. No, you can't have this better job. No your car won't run flawlessly for more than three months. No you don't have as much spending money as you want.

It would be nice to hear a Yes on something substantial by the end of this year. I do have a chance at a decent promotion at work, which would bring Allicia and I anywhere from $5,000-17,000 in extra yearly salary.

I hope I get a Yes on that one soon!

  1. Sorry to say but I think you are completely wrong...after living a life of mostly NOs from God or so I thought it was simply I didnt know what I needed. As you probably know God has a bigger plan than we could even begin to imagine or understand! If it wasnt for all the NOs in my life I would not have most of my Happiness which is afterall what we think the Yes's will get us but who are we but the pawns of the master chest player...Love ya guys!
