Episode XXII: Terrifying video game memories

In this episode of The 16-Bit Catholic, I talk to Eric Bailey of www.1morecastle.com and www.nintendolegend.com about the most terrifying moments we had in gaming: From the first castle in Super Mario Bros. to the airport slaughter in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, we've both been freaked out by the games we play (and amused by ghouls as well: see Zombies Ate My Neighbors for more info).

What was interesting to find out is that earlier games were still terrifying, despite their graphics not looking realistic at all. Not surprising though: your imagination can make things a lot scarier than they really are.

We also discuss whether Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES is good or bad (I said horrible), but find some common ground. And we discuss gaming news, such as the Farmville sequel, Wii-U working with independent game designers, Electronic Arts being sued for using college athlete likenesses in their gamesForbes wanting to remake Battletoads, and more!

Eric is always a lot of fun to talk to about video games, and I can't wait to have him back on the show soon.
